The Redeemer Who Lives
Jesus is the redeemer who lives
Jesus Christ saved the world from the wrath of God and the penalty of sin which is death. The bible says that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die”. Man was hopeless. Imagine being sinful prior to birth? How can one ever escape the wage of sin? The bible says that no one was righteous. No one deserved forgiveness. Everyone was about to die.
But Jesus Christ came to everyone’s rescue. He bore all the sins of mankind and redeemed everyone’s soul from the hostage of sin. The ransom was very expensive that not even the richest man on earth can ever afford – it was the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross. Because of Jesus Christ, man has been given access to salvation, to the forgiveness of God, and to the gift of eternal life. The bible said: “God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life’s blood, so that by faith in him we could come to God. And God did this to show that in the past he was right to be patient and forgive sinners. This also shows that God is right when he accepts people who have faith in Jesus.”
Jesus Christ was the substitute. Instead of men dying on the cross, Jesus died. He was tortured, tormented, mocked, crucified, and denied of all the privileges of being a royal. He was made human. He was forsaken. Jesus endured all of these just for you and the rest of the world to live and receive the free gift of salvation. And he was victorious. Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again from the dead after three days. His death put an end to the curse of sin that was demanded from all mankind.
Jesus Christ was, is, and will always be the redeemer of the world. The bible said, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us – for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”” His resurrection is the receipt that he had victoriously saved the world from the sting of death. It is the proof that he was victorious on the cross. Because Jesus conquered the grave, sin no longer have the power to take humans captive. Everyone who will believe in Jesus will receive the free gift of salvation and will gain access to the eternal life. Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.”
