Savior of the World
Do you know who is the savior of the world? Everyone is born with a sinful nature. Meaning, before you were even born, you already have sin. This is because Adam and Eve, the first people whom God created fell into sin in the Garden of Eden. Eve was tempted by the serpent that she ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Even though God warned both Adam and Eve not to dare bite a fruit from the tree, Eve got so enticed that she disregarded God’s command. The worse thing that Eve did was she gave the fruit to Adam so the man can eat it. This made both of them exposed to the knowledge of good and bad. Their eyes were opened to the reality of sin and so with all of the people that will come after them. This made the sinful nature of man. The bible said: “When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned…Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone.”
The penalty of sin is death. It is not a physical death but an eternal death. Meaning, a sinner’s soul will be eternally condemned in hell. Everybody needs God’s forgiveness. But the sad reality is, nobody was, is, and will ever be qualified to receive God’s forgiveness on his own. No one is righteous – not even one, the Holy Scriptures says.
Because of the gravity of sin, everyone was bound to hell. Not even one can enter the kingdom of heaven. But God’s love for man was so great that He came up with a solution – one man will become a savior and stop death from taking away the souls of mankind. God the Father sent His Son Jesus to save the world. He was the only one qualified to pay for the sins of the world. He was the only perfect “human” to substitute man. He was 100% man, blameless, and without sin.
Adam brought sin into the world. Because of his disobedience to God, man had the sinful nature and was destined to eternally die in hell. But God was full of love, grace and mercy that He allowed man to be saved from sin. Jesus brought salvation into the world. His death on the cross, his wounds, and his blood that was shed paid everybody’s debt caused by sin. Jesus paid all of your debts, in full.
