Now is the Time for the School of Prophets

We are inspired by the vision of Charles Spurgeon who established a pastor’s college in the middle of the 19th century. Spurgeon wanted to train preachers and he knew that learning was important in order to have a successful ministry (Kroll, 2002). The learning of the whole bible, the knowledge of God by prayer and experience were an important part of his vision.

Early and Early (2011) noted that we are in a season of defining and demonstrating the eternal purposes of God by bringing a new liberty of the Spirit that cause many to forge ahead to witness the “demonstration of the Spirit throughout all sectors of the earth. It is taking us from our sacred interpretations of doctrine, moving us into demonstration, now into the destination of the saint’s world over” (Romans 8:19-26).

In Joel, Chapter 2, we see an Army of the Lord. The Army of the Lord is a predestined troop, which is coming forth. This army is a bold new sound that shall take over the Earth, a symphony of instruments (1 Chronicles 25:1-3). There is a greater arising of the Elisha is upon us (2 Kings 3:15), wherein the song of the Lord and the word of the Lord have become one (Early & Early, 2011). This Army is represented by the Schools of Prophets that we have seen over time. Even at present, this Army is still fighting to win souls over to Christ.

According to Early and Early (2011), in this season you have prophetic development and training, and in another, the launching of assemblies through prophetic dimension. There is one operation of ministry for preaching, singing, worship, prayer, intercession, and prophecy. All are flowing from one source. There is no mixture of contamination of any kind. According to Early and Early (2011), each worship intermingles with intercession and intercession is rooted in the Word of the Lord.
