A Christ-Centered Relationship
No matter if you’re single or married, there will always be a need for you to have a relationship with God.
When Christ left this earth to ascend unto the Father, He left with us something very important.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14: 16-18)
He left us His Spirit. The Spirit of peace, calm, serenity and love. The Spirit that guides and leads. He did not leave us entirely, He is merely waiting for us on the other end. It is this Spirit that we should listen to when it comes to dealing with our fellowmen.
Whenever we deal with people dishonestly, when we lie or cheat in any form, the Spirit will no longer be with us. The Spirit of the Lord does not dwell in unholy vessels. In every conversation, in every transaction and every relationship that we have with other people, we must constantly be focused on Christ. We must ask ourselves, how would He talk or walk with others?
Always retain the name of the Savior, not only in the heart, but also through kind words, good deeds and worthy actions.
