What are strongsuits? A strongsuit is a choice we make at certain crucial points in our development, which ends up affecting the course of our lives in the long-run.

When we look back at our lives, we might be able to identify what our strongsuits are, and how they have affected us. These may be the colleges we decided to go to, the friends we chose to keep around, or even the hobbies we decided to pick up. Knowing this, we can choose to embrace the direction that our strongsuits have taken us, or stir our lives towards another direction by making even more strongsuits.

That said, we must also be careful about making strongsuits without realizing the significance of their effects. We must try not to make decisions brashly or without much consideration. We can never quite tell how big an impact certain choices that we make might have on our lives and on our person.

The next time you decide on something, allow the idea to incubate first. Think about the outcomes that may result from this possible strongsuit. Will it lead to a better life, just like Ruth’s strongsuit did? Or will it lead to regression?
